BARWODA managed to conduct a dialogue meeting with the MHM duty
bearers in the education department of Bukonzo East constituency.
Issues of establishing Menstrual Hygiene Management facilities in the
rural government schools were discussed and emphasized i.e
construction of wash/ change rooms for girls during their menstrual
periods, water facilities, dumping buckets and incinerators,
construction of segregated latrines- girls alone stances, boys
stances, teachers-female and male alone stances to maintain gender
privacy.
