Bayira Rural Women's Development Association (BARWODA) is a Registered Community Based Women Organization located in Kasese Municipality and branch in Kisinga Sub-county, Bukonzo, Kasese district, western Uganda.
The group was founded in the year1998 by 5 women rights activists to promote women empowerment, raise the awareness of women, young girls, and the public on women’s rights, legislations, protection, women’s roles and other women’s related issues and peacebuilding and to foster community development in the area.
The group has a current membership of 45 women and 2 men ranging from 22-42 years. The group started with an aim of promoting women's rights and participation on the community development.
